    The Mark Moultrup Group performs original jazz music in concert settings as well as background cocktail and dance settings. Mark Moultrup, is a pianist, vocalist, composer, arranger, and educator. His compositions are featured on his CDs, and have also been heard on promo spots, childrens’ CDs and television. He has produced for other artists as well as for himself, and has written arrangements for a variety of ensembles from trio to big band.He is active in local schools, conducting music clinics and lending his talents to high school drama, and theater activities.

    Mark co-founded and co-directed the Petoskey Jazz Festival. He has performed and recorded with a diverse array of notable artists including Smokie Robinson, Mike Stern, Marcus Belgrave, Eddie Kendricks and David Ruffin, Leslie Gore, Lou Christie, Johnny Trudell, Lincoln Goines, and Rodney Whitaker.

    He has performed at The Detroit Institute of the Arts, The Ritz Carlton, Berts Marketplace, The Gem Theater, Intermezzo, The Fox Theater, Cobbs Corner, Pine Knob, The Ford – Detroit International Jazz Festival, The Whitney, The Birmingham Jazz Festival, Bakers Keyboard Lounge, The Bird of Paradise, Masonic Temple, The Firefly Club, the Broadway touring productions of Grease, and Showboat, high schools and colleges, as well as venues in New York City, Los Angeles, and Chicago. He has worked with Smokie Robinson, Eddie Kendriks, David Ruffin, Marcus Belgrave, Johnny Trudell Orchestra, Chapter 8, The New Detroit Jazz Ensemble, Pancho Hagood, George Russell, Larry Smith, Doug Hammond, Jack Costanza, Soupy Sales, Leslie Gore, Lou Christie.
