    Gordon Camp, plays at all occasions, weddings, private parties, banquets, church functions, concerts, and country clubs. He is a talented trumpeter, fluegalhornist, teacher, musical arranger and leader of the Gordon Camp Band, and has distinguished himself as one of the most versatile musicians in America.
    He has gained valuable knowledge, training, and insight having studied and performed with many leading national jazz, classical musicians and educators, including Dr. Donald Byrd. He has also performed with former leader of the Tonight Show Orchestra “Doc” Severinsen, jazz musician and film scorer Oliver Nelson, jazz musician and educator, Herb Pomeroy of Boston’s Berkley School of Music, and local members of the brass section of the Detroit Symphony.
    Gordon has led Motown groups such as the Temptations, the Four Tops, and national recording artists such as the OJ’s, The Dells, Lou Rawls, and Brook Benton. He has performed as a member of orchestras backing such artists as Natalie Cole, Sammy Davis, Jr., Aretha Franklin, the Manhattan Transfer, Bob Hope and Barry White. Gordon is currently leading a versatile six-piece group performing at many of the local country clubs and concert venues in the state of Michigan and throughout the United States.
