Secretary-Treasurer – Susan Barna Ayoub

A graduate of Wayne State University, Susan Barna Ayoub taught as an adjunct flute instructor at Oakland University in Rochester, MI, in addition to directing the Oakland University Flute Ensemble. Outside of the classroom, she involved her students with Focus: Hope, a nationally recognized and much imitated civil and human rights organization in Detroit. In 1989, she co-founded the Oakland Steiner School – a Waldorf elementary school located in Rochester Hills, MI. Waldorf is a global independent alternative education movement.

Since 2003, Ms. Ayoub has served as a member of the AFM Diversity Committee. This opportunity has furthered her lifelong interest in the advancement of, and appreciation for human diversity in its many forms, enhancing the well being of all.
